The Orcas habitat is lessening year by year thus 2 orcas in a small glass...and we are wasting water resources thus the water spilling over the sides. If you do not get the concept...I cannot help you. This image is intended to be thought-provoking....nothing more.

This is my first real crack at photomanipulation. I did not use any resources from DA, just a lot of painstaking water photos of my own and free clipart resources on the net.

The 2 Orcas I drew from Orca photos I found on the net. Then I carefully used black gel pens to shade them in....the grey shading I did with color pencils to get just the right color. The Orca at the bottom is lighter as it is under the water! I intend it to be that way.

From start to finish, this took me 4 months to complete. I thought that starting with water would be the easiest...for a beginner. I also wanted to prove to myself that I really could do it. :D YAY!!!

Orca whales are the largest members of the dolphin family. Orcas are very curious creatures, they like to sky hop, which is when they poke their heads out of the water and look around, and they can also dive to as much as a hundred feet. These social animals live in pods and stay with them for their whole lives. They are so family oriented that they can may sleep together in a tight circle and have synchronized breathing. Orcas can grow up to thirty-two feet and can weigh nine tons. They typically eat five percent of their body weight and are amazing hunters. The lifespan of an orca in their natural habitat is about fifty years. This lifestyle for them is wonderful because they can swim as far as they want to and are free. Orcas should not be held captive because the capture process is dangerous, it is not good for their health, and their trainers are at risk.
